An inexhaustible traveller, El Gato Negro stopped off in Dakar to record Tigre Qui Pleure, accompanied by a fine team of artists he has met on the road over the last 15 years. A blend of musicians from West Africa and Cuba, under the feline's Colombian flute, jazz mingles with hip-hop, traditional with digital, French with Wolof and Spanish, under the watchful ear of producer Guts. The beast of the stage sets off on the road again in 2024 with a Burkinabe griot, a Franco-Congolese rapper, a master of Latin percussion and a suitcase of electronic machines, to pass on the legend of the Tiger who mourns the departure of his brother Cayman, who has left the dry river; he mourns because he knows that he too is on the brink of extinction.
