Thursday February 8: Menalua Quartet

At the origin of Menalua, the meeting of an aerial voice and an acoustic guitar. Throughout their concerts as a duo, Mathilde Gardien and Romain Salmon have developed a refined sound signature, paying homage to jazz as well as Brazilian music and flamenco. Gradually called by the desire to compose together, they created their own universe in the form of a quartet, associating Matis Regnault on double bass, and Clément Brajtman on drums and backing vocals. These four musicians weave inventive and modern music with multiple influences. A singular place is given to the mixing of vocal timbres as well as to improvisation. Four talents to discover, which we guess are in constant quest for expression and freedom.
