Created in Lagos by Fela Kuti in the late 1960s, Afrobeat is a music based on traditional Yoruba rhythms, strongly influenced by funk, jazz and highlife. Thanks to the charisma of its creator and the quality of his compositions, in which he declaims engaged and satirical texts, this music rapidly becomes very popular in Nigeria. A music with a stubborn rhythm, based on a few chords played in a loop by guitars and keyboards, enhanced by powerful, melodic brass riffs.

A talented multi-instrumentalist, David Aubaile knows how to shake up the boundaries of music-because, for him, there are none! A self-taught musician, he has a perfect knowledge of classical music and jazz, and is immersed in the world of funk, which enables him to diversify the projects in which he takes part. A musician, composer and arranger, he is drawn to North African and African music, and has developed various collaborations with great artists such as Salif Keita, Daara-Je, Sergent Garcia, Karim Ziad, Souad Massi, Tété, Nguyen Le, Carole Fredericks... Mike Clinton, an inquisitive bassist, at ease everywhere, with a wide range of influences: Miles Davis, Weather Report, Sixun, Haitian kompa... He has played alongside Patrick Saint-Eloi and Jean-Philippe Marthély (Kassav), major figures in the French West Indies, and collaborated with the Cameroonian brothers Bebey, then with the great Salif Keïta... Drummer and percussionist for Féfé, Cheb Khaled and Raul Midon,
