The jazz of Mourad Benhammou & Jazzworkers Quintet follows in the footsteps of Hard Bop, born in the 50s around Art Blakey, Lenny Mc Browne, Frank Butler, Horace Silver and Lee Morgan.
The quintet brings together musicians who are making headlines in French and international jazz clubs and festivals.

A drummer of reference on the French scene, Mourad is above all an unclassifiable, a man curious about everything, whose spontaneity and availability have become his trademarks.
He plays at today's biggest festivals and collaborates with young musicians as well as living legends of American jazz. Mourad imposes his swing, his musicality and his implacable efficiency. A mediator between generations, he feels invested with a "duty to remember", which he has made his mission. For him, being a musician also means passing on a technique, a style, an oral tradition - in short, an art of living.

Guillaume Naud: piano
Fabien Mary: trumpet
David Sauzay: tenor saxophone
Fabien Marcoz: double bass
Mourad Benhammou: drums
