Blue Jay Quintet

Whether influenced by Herbie Hancock and Chick Corea in their funk period, hip-hop jazz of the 2000s, or the current London scene, the musicians of the Blue Jay quintet offer original music in a set entirely focused on composition. Blue Jay is a meeting of five musicians in search of groove. Synthesizer textures form the symbiosis of the group, whose guitarist, inspired by Hendrix's playing and Prince's groove, adds a rock touch. The drummer's hip-hop culture and the bassist's P-Funk passion support a killer groove. The saxophonist, with his explosive presence, creates a strong bond with the audience thanks to his aerial lines! Blue Jay released his debut EP "Miroir" in May 2023. He was a finalist in Lille's Golden Jazz Trophy 2023 springboard competition.
