Lurium was born from the meeting of six friends during their years of study at the CNSMD in Paris.
This sextet, at the crossroads of modern jazz, ambient and the Los Angeles pop-jazz scene, draws its inspiration from the music of artists such as Immanuel Wilkins, Joel Ross, Sam Wilkes and Sam Gendel. These diverse influences enable them to offer contrasting music, highlighting the personalities of each of the band members.
Lurium is the image of a bright, vivid but ephemeral glow. It's also the image of a band in constant search. With a sound that's wide-ranging or intimate, playful or sensitive, the group develops a unique, authentic and multi-faceted proposal, free from all judgment.
