Norvald Dahl Piano Solo & Quartet

On a European tour, the extraordinary Norwegian pianist Norvald Dahl makes a stop at the Club and gratifies us with his solo project and his quartet project in the same evening.  In his playing, he combines influences from legends like Herbie Hancock, Keith Jarrett and Bill Evans, and blends the lyricism of Norwegian folk music with a classical and contemporary tone, with versatile Los Angeles guitarist and composer Wayne Brasel who combines the best of jazz, blues, soul and rock guitar with a post-bop approach to improvisation, joined by Chris Thomas (Nora Jones, Mélodie Gardot, Brian Blade, Joni Mitchel) and our New Orleans Drummer Jeff Boudreaux
