Jazz
In the late 1950s, the prolific composer A. Carlos Jobim 'invented' bossa nova, a musical movement born from the fusion between samba and jazz, which will revolutionize Brazilian popular music.
He composes hundreds of songs of global success, covered by countless jazzmen because of their harmonic qualities, their innovative rhythmic contribution and their unforgettable melodies.
Isabelle CARPENTIER sings Chega de Saudade, Garota de Ipanema, Corcovado and other lesser-known songs, under the musical direction of double bassist Jacques VIDAL, Gilles CLEMENT is on guitar and Xavier DESANDRE-NAVARRE brings us his fantasy and science of Brazilian percussion.
