Marion Rampal “is the new generation” and you know why? Because she represents the future
the long-awaited destruction of the boundaries between male and female jazz. Once that's said,
it's all about immersing yourself in her jazz, which is not only creative and innovative, but also opens the doors
to her influences such as Folk and Blues, for with her, nothing stands in the way. Marion recently
recently unveiled a beautiful cover of Bob Dylan's Don't think twice, it's alright, and will be performing
a tribute to Claude Nougaro, another free jazzman. Marion Rampal also means
diving into a dictionary of the world's languages and styles, be they Creole, Cajun, Berliner,
French-speaking, OUPS! Marseillais too! Marion is a local girl, born in 1980 and steeped in the
jazz scene with stage saxophonist Raphaël Imbert and Compagnie Nine Spirit. On July 13,
the Palais Longchamp will vibrate to the sound of Marion Rampal, a 100% Jazz Marseillaise, and she's sure to enchant
she's sure to enchant the crowd and get them swinging!

David Walters is back, inviting us on a new artistic voyage of his own.
Having become inseparable from Creole culture, which he has been exploring and dissecting since his first solo album
Awa in 2006, he returns with Klé, his new anthem from Soul Tropical, his latest album.
Recorded with his close guard, Vincent Segal, Ballaké Sissoko and Roger Raspail, Klé (clair in
Creole) is a declaration of positivity with a strong gospel influence, a reference to God, and
to God, with Creole choirs very much in evidence.
On July 13, Marseilles will celebrate the return of Walters, his hometown, which hosted him for several years
which gave him the impetus to explore the West Indies and Africa musically. From
his positivity and desire to share will light up the night at the Palais Longchamp.

Imagine that on July 13th our Good Mother of Marseille is renamed Catedral San
Cristobal de La Habana, our Marseille cabs transformed into Ford convertibles and the gardens of the
gardens of the Palais Longchamp become the Hotel Nacional! For this trick, Marseille
Jazz invites Roberto Fonseca to plunge us into the incredible history of the “Cabane Cubaine”, one of
one of the most fashionable Parisian cabarets of the 1930s. Founded by Eduardo Castellanos, a Cuban musician
musician in exile in France, this “Bohio Cubana” immersed the whole of Paris in the sounds of mambo, rumba
and bolero, and became a veritable phenomenon where Leopold Senghor, Buster Keaton,
Cab Calloway, Rita Hayworth and Maurice Chevalier...
For this Fiesta Cubana, come dressed in your best evening attire to sway and sway
and immerse yourself in the immersive, festive journey that Roberto Fonseca has the secrets for
to make us dance.
