Hermon Mehari Quartet

Kansas City-born Hermon Mehari is one of the most talented trumpeters of his generation. In 2015, he won the Carmine Caruso International Jazz Solo Trumpet Competition. He was also a semi-finalist in the prestigious Thelonious Monk Jazz Competition. He has collaborated with the prestigious Randy Brecker, Jaleel Shaw, Logan Richardson, Bobby Watson, Aaron Parks, Ben Van Gelder, Joe Sanders and Hubert Laws, among others. In 2022 Hermon released his third album as leader, ‘Asmara’, a project celebrating his Eritrean roots.
