Amelchenko & Chastel Quartet

Friends and former classmates at the Berlin Conservatoire, Pierre Chastel (drums, vocals) and Olga Amelchenko (saxophone) have been cultivating a musical complicity over the years, working together in a wide variety of contexts, from standard jazz to free improvisation.

With their new quartet, they propose to weave links between instrumental jazz and songs from a variety of traditions and worlds: folk music, Brazilian music, American songbooks, and so on.
