Every Sunday and Monday, la Rhumerie brings you together for a jazz evening that revives the tradition of St Germain des prés during the fifties, and offers a selection of rums and West Indian cuisine (surcharge + € 1 per order on concert days).
A violinist of Romanian origin, Rares Morarescu is one of the rarest and surprising violinists in contemporary jazz. A child prodigy, he began playing the violin at the age of 5 and, from the age of 14, he performed on numerous international stages with the well-known Taraf Cununa Carpatilor.
With his sincere and devoted attachment to the Gypsy tradition and Belle Époque Swing, he is considered one of the most faithful disciples of Grand Master Stéphane Grappelli.
