Mathilde Gardien #Jazzdedemain

It all begins with the meeting of an aerial voice and an acoustic guitar. Throughout their concerts as a duo, Mathilde Gardien and Romain Salmon have developed, with great complicity, a refined sound signature. Gradually called by the desire to compose together, they created their own universe in the form of a quartet, associating Matis Regnault on double bass, and Basile Guéguen on drums. A singular and inventive music, at the crossroads of multiple influences (jazz, Brazilian music, flamenco...), serving dreamlike texts filled with sincerity.
The group is the winner of the 2024 edition of the national springboard “Vannes Echos Jazz” and has performed in various festivals since its creation: Jazz à l'Ouest, Jazz en Ville, Jazz sur Seine, Respire Jazz, Coco Jazz. .. Four talents to discover, which we guess are in constant quest for expression and freedom.
For 15 years, #JazzDeDemain has offered young artists the opportunity to perform on stage and refine their repertoire with the public, through a series of monthly and bimonthly residencies. It is a promising and dynamic space where creativity and emulation are limitless. #BeCurious!
