In 1995, a handful of polytechnicians reconstituted the New Orleans orchestra of their graduating class for the fiftieth anniversary of their entry into the École Polytechnique.
Some had stepped back, others had disappeared, replaced by better-known instrumentalists who had improved the ensemble without altering its sound or its cheerfulness.
Wearing bow ties and red suspenders, they play vintage New Orleans with the enthusiasm of youth.
