Joachim Govin Trio

A virtuoso double bass player trained at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, Joachim Govin quickly made a name for himself with his powerful and subtle playing.
In 2019, Joachim formed his own trio, whose chemistry between the three musicians was palpable from their first concert in Paris. Based on the moment, interaction, but also swing and the tradition of the great standards of the Great American Songbook, Govin's trio is in line with the legendary trios of Lee Konitz, Kenny Garrett or Ben van Gelder. Their music is a fusion of elegance, groove and lyricism.
