A jazz and poetry evening at L'Entrepôt to mark the release of Le nom du son, the first jazz and poetry anthology from the French-speaking world, published by Le Castor Astral. In this work, Franck Médioni and Tom Buron bring together more than a hundred poets (Jack Kerouac, Allen Ginsberg, Philippe Soupault, Robert Desnos, Léopold Sédar Senghor, Jacques Réda...) of all nationalities to offer a panorama of poetic writing influenced by jazz.
This evening, which brings together double bass player Stéphane Kerecki, a major figure in French jazz, and writer Franck Médioni, co-author of the anthology, will highlight the close links between the rhythms, improvisations and other blue beauties of jazz and the verses, stanzas and other flashes of poetry.
