French pianist-composer Adrien Brandeis kicks off his carte blanche at 38Riv with a spotlight on percussion, an instrument that features prominently in his music and to which he is very attached.

Since his first album “Euforia” (2017), then “Meetings” (2020) and finally “Siempre más allá” (2022), Adrien has collaborated with some of the biggest names in percussion in France and abroad: Philippe Ciminato, Orlando Poleo, Inor Sotolongo, Abraham Mansfarroll, Yaroldy Abreu, Roberto Vizcaíno.

For this 1st carte blanche concert, he will be joined by Cuban percussionists Abraham Mansfarroll and Yaroldy Abreu. They will present compositions from Adrien Brandeis's current albums, as well as pieces written especially for the occasion, and a few rearranged jazz standards.

“Adrien Brandeis has established himself as one of the most promising talents in the genre”.
