Saturday September 28: Marie & Lucas

Marie Livingstone is one of the promising voices of the Parisian jazz-soul scene. Her musical background is resolutely eclectic: trained in vocal technique in lyrical singing and contemporary music. It is ultimately in jazz that she finds the ideal alliance between freedom and demand, improvisation and tradition. She now performs regularly in Parisian jazz clubs and offers a generous and embodied interpretation of the great standards, with a sense of phrasing and swing inspired by the greatest (Peggy Lee, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Nat King Cole, etc.). She will be accompanied by Lucas Michenaud on guitar for a jazz-soul evening marked by emotion and good humor.
