Doris Day, Hollywood star of the '50s and '60s, is best known for her natural, warm-hearted acting, which was particularly appreciated by directors such as Alfred Hitchcock and Michael Curtiz.
She is less well known today for her career as an accomplished singer, having enjoyed great success with Les Brown's orchestra, followed by a major solo breakthrough. Doris Day was widely appreciated for her clear, natural voice, free of excess and unnecessary artifice, but not without great vocal mastery.
The quartet will generously revisit the repertoire of key songs that have marked the artist's career (Que sera sera, Sentimental Journey) as well as lesser-known ones. Bewitching, full of enthusiasm and humor, Gabrielle Sandman interprets this repertoire with precision, accompanied by the impeccable swing and virtuosity of her three acolytes.
David Paycha: drums
Gabrielle Sandman: vocals
Clément Trimouille: guitar
