ROBY Lakatos is an internationally renowned Hungarian virtuoso violinist, a direct descendant of the legendary composer and master of verbunk János Bihari, one of the virtuosos of Hungarian romanticism. ROBY Lakatos' violin playing, thanks to his historical talent and the professional support of Yehudi Menuhin, has been heard in concerts from Carnegie Hall to the Vatican to London's Albert Hall. Countries around the world have honored his musical greatness with prestigious awards and other distinctions. Among other distinctions, ROBY Lakatos was made an honorary citizen of Mexico and, in 2021, he received the prestigious Music Award of the Spanish Ministry of Culture in Madrid, which recognizes the work of musical talents such as Alfred Brendel, Shlomo Mintz, Michael Nyman and Krzysztof Penderecki.

The virtuoso's international fame is due, above all, to the fact that his violin playing, in addition to a high level of musical precision, is expressed in a unique sound and style, immediately recognizable to everyone, not only in Hungary, but all over the world.

The international musical society owes the birth and international dissemination of the "non-Orthodox gypsy fusion" music style to the unique musical creativity of ROBY Lakatos, whose musical novelty is that the Maestro renewed Hungarian gypsy music by merging it with classical, Balkan and Orthodox Jewish music, as well as with jazz.

ROBY Lakatos' success is undeniable, and his music regularly contributes to promoting Hungarian culture internationally. It is a testament to the human qualities of the Maestro that he identifies himself as a Hungarian violinist during his major concerts, wherever he is in the world.

Opus4 is a real jukebox: unbeatable, they sing in many languages in several voices, and above all, make every evening spent in their company festive.

The meeting promises to be explosive!
