A mix of original compositions and forgotten treasures of jazz and rhythm and blues are on the program when Ellen Birath invites crooner Matthieu Boré, accompanied by Stephen Binet on piano and Anne Shrestha on double bass.
An eclectic musician, French singer and pianist Matthieu Boré follows in the footsteps of his grandmother, a piano teacher, and his grandfather, composer Théodore Lack.
Between critically acclaimed standards and his own compositions, Matthieu Boré has charted an original course in France and abroad, with nine albums, some of which can be heard on Jazz Radio, TSF Jazz, FIP and Radio Swiss Jazz.
“We love Matthieu Boré's relaxed approach, his elastic swing, his straight, never forced voice, and that elegance that comes from the past and whose idea seems lost (...) He's there like a catfish in the waters of the Mississippi.
Louis Julien Nicolaou, Télérama Sortir
