Martin Valihora Quartet

Martin Valihora is an internationally renowned musician who lives in New York and Slovakia. He has also played in a number of Slovakian pop, rock and jazz bands, and has performed with many international artists. Michal Bugala is a guitarist who, as a member of several musical groups, has collaborated with leading Slovakian artists as well as with leading foreign musicians. He has released two solo albums, one of which won the 2012 Esprit award for best jazz album of the year. James Francies is an exceptional pianist, keyboardist, producer and composer, described by the New York Times as ‘a pianist with a liquid, dynamic touch’. Blessed with perfect pitch and synaesthesia, Francies has risen rapidly through the jazz ranks and built a flourishing international professional career. Daniele Camarda is a bassist, composer, improviser, sound artist and sound designer who collaborates with a wide range of musicians, artists and performers in various musical contexts and in multidisciplinary work with dance, theatre, video art, film and installations.
