  • La Rhumerie
  • Free entrance
  • Free access with participation in the hat, increase of 1€ per order

Every Sunday and Monday, la Rhumerie brings you together for a jazz evening that revives the tradition of St Germain des prés during the fifties, and offers a selection of rums and West Indian cuisine (surcharge + € 1 per order on concert days).

After meeting during a jam session, Australian violinist and singer Heather Stewart and Parisian guitarist and singer Lucas Montagnier joined forces to share their passion for American popular music from the first half of the 20th century: blues, ragtime, swing and country music and created The Dirty Ratimers. Inspired by the music of String/Jug Bands, their style is the result of a clever mix of fingerpicking guitar, swing or Cajun violin and vocal harmonies, which they put to the service of a repertoire composed of standards and compositions.

The Dirty Ragtimers perform regularly in France and abroad. After tours in Australia, the USA and Great Britain, the Dirty Ragtimers recorded, at the Hi-Style studio in Chicago: Fairytales of Montmartre (released in July 2019). In 2020, pianist Mathieu Meyer and double bassist Leigh Barker joined the group. It is with this quartet that the Dirty Ragtimers recorded their 2nd album (release scheduled for the end of 2023)

Heather Stewart : violin, vocals
Lucas Montagnier : guitar, vocals
Mathieu Meyer : piano
Leigh Barker : double bass
