El Manijazo

Manijazo saw the light of day in mid-2010 in the city of La Plata, capital of Buenos Aires, Argentina, surprising with a new musical proposition that brings double-time night scenes to the city, with tango reaching a wide audience. Perhaps it's no coincidence that the presentation date was December 11, International Tango Day.
If anything characterizes Manijazo's musical spirit, it's their instinct to seek out new influences, both musical and aesthetic. Thus, the group has drawn on the colors and nuances that belong to distant lands, capturing the moment when the emergence of Arrabal music and the arrival of immigrants come together.
The ensemble is transformed into a popular party, featuring the refined arrangements of the “Orquesta Típica” and purely tango elements such as clothing and instrumentation. During the show, the audience can enjoy Arrabal's meticulous arrangements and an intense voice, both urban and intimate, sharing a powerful language, the slang of our times.
