Heritage : Tribute to Miles Davis is a vibrant tribute by Jerry Léonide, where each note and arrangement reinvents Miles’ repertoire with a contemporary and personal touch. With the intimate sound of his trio, Jerry explores the essence of the master by infusing it with his soul and unique style. More than a tribute, Heritage is a conversation between two eras, a sonic bridge between tradition and innovation, and a bold redefinition of the boundaries of modern jazz.
Jerry’s music uniquely blends African rhythms with jazz, creating a rich and poetic sound that honors Mauritian culture and its African ties that highlight his deep connection to his heritage. He has played with a host of renowned artists, showcasing his versatility and talent on international stages further highlighting his ability to seamlessly blend across genres and styles.
Joe Sanders’ fame has spread thanks to the versatility of his repertoire. Joe has played, recorded and performed with many notable artists, including: Ravi Coltrane, Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter Joshua Redman, Ben Wendel, Dave Brubeck. Whether as a double bass player, as a composer of his own songs, or as a young father, Joe Sanders has never followed a single path. Originally from the Midwest, young Joe quickly became passionate about jazz, finding in this music a complex form of expression that fascinated him. However, he did not neglect the electric bass and digital production, which he liked to associate with his musical palette.
Cradled by jazz and Latin rhythms, Drummer, percussionist, composer and arranger, Zaza chose percussion as his instrument of choice. He then became a professional drummer at the age of sixteen. Quickly, his human and artistic qualities, his ease of adaptation to different musical styles and his maturity led the profession to recognize him as a true singularity. His energetic and precise playing makes him one of the most sought-after drummers in Rio and leads him to play on large stages in collaboration with numerous national and international artists.
