After a long absence, Hugh Coltman, winner of the “Voice of the Year” award at the Victoires du Jazz 2017 and 2023, returns with a sixth album adorned with jazz, blues and folk.
This album was born of grief. That of his father and a close friend during that strange Covid pandemic period, and that of his youth, which he now looks back on in the rear-view mirror since his fifties caught up with him.
So it took time to heal, to give us a luminous, intimate and cathartic album.
Hugh Coltman - Vocals / Matthis Pascaud - Guitar / Laurent Vernerey - Bass / Raphael Chassin - Drums

Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grappelli watch over them, but their interpretations and compositions look to the future, with a modernism sometimes tinged with pop or rock. Humor is the trademark of Minor Sing, and takes nothing away from their finesse as great musicians.
Their new album “Djangolympics” (Inouïe Distribution) highlights the Olympic motto : Citius, Altius, Fortius (faster, higher, stronger), delivering a muscular and poetic swing, with supercharged arrangements but guaranteed doping-free !
