Asura Quartet

Deeply inspired by nature and wide open spaces, the Asura quartet is an ode to time, an invitation to contemplation, a profound search for emotions. Based around compositions by guitarist Martin Arnoux, the quartet's music is rich in diverse influences (jazz, blues, pop), the main theme being the music of the moment and improvisation.
Winner of the Grand Jury Prize at the Action Jazz 2024 springboard competition, and noticed at the Jazz à Vienne springboard competition and on several jazz festival stages, the quartet's sound is characterised by softness and roundness, creating a supple, woody base to accompany the group's lyrical creations.
