Across The Lines — Release Party! New Album

After a memorable concert last year at the 38Riv, “Across the Lines” is back for the release of their album and a tour of France.

A multicolored jazz, mixing tradition and modernity with funk or hip hop influences and free improvisation.

Born of a meeting at the Italian National Jazz Academy, the pleasure of playing together and the desire to share their music continues to grow. 

The quartet is made up of Franco-Italian trombonist Andrea Glockner, who alternates between bass trumpet and trombone, sensitive and generous Italian-Dominican pianist Santiago Fernandez, Silvia Bolognesi on double bass and electric bass, a symbol of free improvisation in Italy, and Swiss-Italian drummer Alessandro Alarcon, active on the jazz and contemporary music scenes in Switzerland.

The project's name evokes the lines we cross, as well as the music that liberates us and helps us to overcome borders of all kinds when they become vectors of confinement and division.
