Govin, Plume, Montana & Guilbaud

For this 2nd carte blanche concert, Joachim Govin has chosen to invite one of the most prominent alto saxophonists on the Paris scene.

Plume spent several years in New York before settling in Paris for good. A saxophonist of powerful lyricism, timbre and relentless groove, he is one of the best of his generation. 

For the occasion, Joachim calls on two long-time rhythmic accomplices with whom he has built up a deep affinity, as well as a shared repertoire featuring personal compositions by the quartet members, compositions by pianist Tony Tixier, a close friend of the bassist, and great songs from the Brazilian repertoire (Milton Nascimento, Toninho Horta...).
