Javotte

A finalist in the Nîmes Métropole Jazz Festival 2023 springboard competition, the Javotte quartet was created by flutist and composer Lucie Jahier.

To find her own “voice” and break free from codes, she has composed eclectic, tailor-made musical pieces influenced by Hermeto Pascoal, Magic Malik, Naïssam Jalal, Ian Clarke and George Philipp Telemann.

Seeking to push back the boundaries of style and embracing the blending of genres, she fuses all her influences: choro, jazz, forró, jazz-rock, improvised music and contemporary music to create a lively, explosive sound.
