Moglia Quintet

Regular performers with Le baiser salé, currently in residence in Basel and NY, the two brothers Gaspard and Darius reunite for a concert featuring 100% original compositions.
Their universe is inspired by the best contemporary jazz scenes in New York and Europe, and they will be accompanied by Viennese drummer Matheus Jardim and two Parisian stars, double bassist Gabriel Sauzay and pianist Noé Huchard.
An energetic and resolutely modern set, where the interplay between the musicians pushes the boundaries of jazz while preserving tradition, promising an intense musical moment. The music is inspired as much by the trans-energy of John Coltrane's quartet as by the lyricism of New York jazz, with strong personalities such as Ambrose Akinmusire and Melissa Aldana, and the haunting melodies of Radiohead. A powerful means of expressing deep emotions through their compositions and their instrument, and where each member of the quintet contributes to this artistic quest, adding their sensitivity and musical qualities within a group where improvisation, energy and poetry prevail, creating a rich and immersive musical experience.
