The “Earth” project is an intimate dialogue between three musicians who give pride of place to lilting melodies on the borders of jazz and folk. Theo Kaiser's compositions are imbued with his culture of improvised music, but also with other influences from his eclectic background (classical guitar, jazz trumpet, Balkan music, traditional music...).
Initially a solo guitar project, Theo Kaiser releases a debut album in 2019, “The Seeds We Grow”, before inviting Yannick Jacquet to join the project in 2020. The use of the cello offers freedom of expression and openness to interaction, while sublimating the lyricism of the melodies composed by the guitarist.
For this concert, the two acolytes invite double bassist Lorenz Heigenhuber.
Through the alchemy of the woodwinds on their instruments, the three musicians invite you to enter their world.
“You have to see him, smiling quietly, concentrated, inhabited, bathed in an aura that immediately captivates the audience. When he plays, he seems to be inside the melody, invested with the mission of bringing us back to a state of pure contemplation... ”
