Conversing, improvising, sharing...
Bach, a tireless source of inspiration for generations, continues to shine. Saxophonist Matthieu Delage revisits some of his major works - Cello Suite, Goldberg Variations, St. Matthew Passion, Well-Tempered Clavier - in a captivating program.
Although Bach never wrote for the saxophone, invented almost a century after his death by Adolphe Sax, he nevertheless paved the way for countless arrangements and adaptations. These reinterpretations, often remarkable tributes, find an exceptional realization here under the fingers of his 4 musicians.
JAZZICS - Jazz meets classical
Every Sunday afternoon, 38Riv offers a unique program celebrating the encounter between jazz and classical music. Between revisiting the great repertoires, meeting instruments from different eras and exploring improvisation, this new event creates unprecedented bridges between musical worlds.
