After two EPs and two albums since 2018, Weird Life is a wordless ode to all the oddities of the life of touring musicians. While deeply exhilarating, this life is also filled with surprising routines and the sometimes quaintly unexpected. From an irritating advert at a freeway service station to a podcast episode on a train, via a weather report, Etienne Manchon Trio tell us about a daily life that can be the source of many fantasies. The three musicians dig deep into the progressive jazz that has forged their identity from the start, drawing their inspiration as much from the jazz of Bill Evans and Émile Parisien as from the alternative folk of Alice Phoebe Lou and the dreamy electronica of François de Roubaix.
