Jean-Philippe Fanfant Quintet

Jean-Philippe Fanfant invites his friends, those he has accompanied so often, to accompany him in return, sailing through sound space and time. Brought up in a three-generation musical family in Guadeloupe, he draws on a wide range of influences and quickly develops a groove all his own. An ace of Parisian studio sessions thanks to his fine, precise playing, he has played on over 400 albums. Jean-Philippe is convinced that music needs to be decompartmentalized and that musical genres need to interact with each other; he has put this principle to the test in his career, which he has shared between variety music with Julien Clerc, Touré Kunda, Angelique Kidjo, Maxime le Forestier, Bernard Lavilliers ,Christophe Maé , Hubert Felix Thiefaine, Louis bertignac and jazz with his Sakésho quartet (made up of Mario Canonge, Andy Narell, Michel Alibo).
