Klezmer mit Tsibeles

The six musicians of Klezmer mit Tsibeles (“Klezmer aux petits oignons”) cut their teeth in various groups (Le Tout Petit Klezmer, Balabosta, KKO...), with whom they have played in Paris and all over France (la Marbrerie, l'Alimentation Générale, le Mahj, les Disquaires, festival des guinguettes du monde, festival de Carpentras, festival Musiqueyras...).
The sextet brings together the historic instruments of Klezmer music in a unique and original configuration, playing music that is brilliant, inventive, danceable or more profound, without nostalgia but always rooted in tradition.
Alain Gourdeau, who founded the group, discovered Klezmer music in the early 90s and has been playing it ever since, mainly on clarinet, but also on double bass and electric bass.
electric bass. He has rubbed shoulders with instrumentalists and musicians of great stature (Franck London, David Krakauer, Pierre Wekstein...), encounters from which he still nourishes his practice today. His studies at the CNSM de Paris have given him great facility in writing and arranging.
