LES MAMIES GUITARES (France) - World premiere

The guitarist Mathieu Sourisseau has imagined a participative punk creation process around the electric guitar and writing: for a week, "grannies", non-musicians, meet the artists, exchange life stories or personal aspirations, and discover the joys of amplification, sound and expression. For Banlieues Bleues, in binomial with the author and actress Maïna Madec, he leads seven Pierrefittoises who present their work on stage. No Future, really?

MARC RIBOT : THE JAZZ-BINS (USA) - Premiere

Pillar of the New York scene, first artisan of the Tom Waits sound, masterpiece of John Zorn's bands, luxury sideman of the world's sound (Elvis Costello, Caetano Veloso, Bashung...), Marc Ribot is the most punk of jazz guitarists. From the Cuban sound to the Haitian trance, he has always embarked on personal projects in the image of his career: variegated. This time, with Hammond B3 specialist Greg Lewis and New Orleans drummer prodigy Joe Dyson, he delves into the history of soul-jazz by revisiting the organ-guitar-drum trio that he practiced in his early days with the legendary "Brother" Jack McDuff. A return to square one in a way, where he adds his irresistible touch, mixing a taste for deconstruction and a love of groove.
